Georgia Mae Wensowitch, 88, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2015, in Ennis, Texas.
Georgia was born on March 31, 1927, to Frank and Annie (Mica) Skrivanek in Ennis, Texas. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1945. On October 2, 1949, she married Michael Wensowitch and they made their home in Ennis where they remained.
She worked for Donavan-Galvanti as a seamstress for many years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ennis, SPJST #135, Golden Circle and SOKOL. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidery and puzzles.
She is survived by five children: Michael Wensowitch and wife, MaryAnn, Nicolas Wensowitch and wife, Judy, Alexander Wensowitch and wife, Janis; George Wensowitch and wife, Karan; Vera Ann Burnett and husband, Robert; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Michael Wensowitch and fourteen brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.
A Celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis. Interment will follow in Crisp Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Golden Circle of Ennis or the First Presbyterian Church of Ennis.
