LUPE GARCIA

Lupe Garcia, of Garland, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2016, with close friends and family by her

side. Lupe was born on Christmas day, 1941, in Lubbock, Texas, the daughter of Jose and  Francis Garcia of Ennis,

Texas.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Joe A. Garcia; sisters: Margaret Coronado Garcia, Mary Ann Washburn,

Gloria Martinez, Eloisa Lopez, Carol Garcia, and Pauline Garcia.

She is survived by a brother, Henry Garcia of Mesquite, Texas; a sister, Linda Partida, of Dallas; and a very close

God-child, Brenda Bernal, of Garland.

She was employed by Safeway in Garland, Texas, where she retired after many years. Lupe Garcia was a member

of St. Michaels Catholic church of Garland, Texas, and St. Johns Catholic church of Ennis, Texas.

Lupe was a selfless and devoted daughter, sister, aunt, god-mother and friend. As her final selfless act, Lupe donated

her body to science for research of diabetes, cancer, and parkinson’s. Her love, great smile and wonderful sense of

humor will be greatly missed.
