Geraldine “Deanie” Hart Muirhead, 89, of Denton, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016, in Denton. She was born
September 30, 1926, in Garrett, Texas, to Jack Harmon and Leda Lucretia Jackson Hart. She married Charles Lee
Muirhead, Jr., on November 23, 1946, in Ennis, Texas. He was a USAF pilot, president of the board of realtors, builder,
and developer. He preceded her in death in 1999.
Deanie was a teacher, an artist of many mediums, and Sunday school teacher, and the Denton office administrator
for State Representative, Walt Parker. She loved music. Her brother, James, was an accompanist in the Fessor
Graham’s Stage Shows to raise funds for the Denton Fire Department. Her son, Greg, computerized the city of Denton
911 Dispatch System.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 12, 2016, form 5 to 7 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Directors of Denton. She will be
transferred to Keever Funeral Home in Ennis for visitation on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Graveside services will be Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Myrtle Cemetery in Ennis.
Deanie is survived by her daughter, Cathyrn Muirhead Hinkle of Denton and granddaughter, Kelly Louise Hinkle of
Anchorage, Alaska, and wife of Donald Hart, Jean Gilmore Hart of Ennis, Texas. She is also survived by many
cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son: Greg, brothers: James and wife
Joan Gilmore Hart, and Donald Hart; Uncle Les and Aunt Grace “Pete” Jackson.
The family would like to thank the medical community, fire department transportation, and ambulance services.
She volunteered and donated to numerous churches, schools, organizations with many causes. We appreciate you,
your gifts and services in her honor and memory.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2016 in Myrtle Cemetery of Ennis.
