Wesley Woodrow Nash, 100, passed away in Italy, Texas, on Monday, January 25, 2016.
Wesley was born in Howard, Texas, on January 17, 1916, to James Wesley and Lillie Givens (Holt) Nash. He grew up in Ellis
County and attended school in Boyce. On November 25, 1936, he married Ina Mae Cooke and they made their home in Ellis
County.
He worked for many years on the family farm and the Davis Farm. Later he owned and operated the Nash Garage in Ennis and the
Nash Garage and Welding in Bardwell. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He served his
community in many capacities including the Bardwell School Board, Mayor of Bardwell and Fire Chief of Bardwell.
He is survived by two sons: Donald Ray Nash and wife Mary, and Gary Nash and wife Sandra; daughter, Carol Ann Barham and
husband Bobby; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-
granddaughter.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ina Mae Nash in 2005; one brother, Preston G. Nash; and one sister, Ruby
Orlean Wood.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 29, 2016, at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.
A Celebration of his life will take place on Friday, January 29, 2016, at 3 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis.
Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
