Frank “Funk” Mikel, 57, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2015, in Cedar Hill, Texas.
Funk was born on March 22, 1958, to Louis S. and Mary (Slovak) Mikel. He grew up in Ennis and attended Ennis High School. He was a lifetime resident of Ennis, Texas.
He worked as an electrician and for East Bay American Motorcycles. He was a member of the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis and Son of the American Legion. He loved NASCAR and motorcycles.
He is survived by one brother, Jimmy Mikel; one sister, Linda Mikel; and four nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Twig Mikel.
Memorial services were held on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis.
