Douglas Wayne Zaidle, 59, passed away in Dallas, Texas, on Thursday, November 19, 2015.
Douglas was born in Dallas, Texas, on September 24, 1956, to Leon and Mary Sue (Chandler) Zaidle. He graduated from North Garland High School in 1974 and went on to attend Richland Community College. On August 23, 1974, he married Kathy Whatley and they made their home in Garland, Texas.
He worked for Rockwell International for over fourteen years as a machinist and laser operator then for Irving Tool for twenty-three years as an estimator. He was a member of the Rodgers Bible Church. He enjoyed collecting things, dove hunting and gardening. He was a great caregiver.
He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him and his memory will be cherished most by his loving family including his wife of over forty-one years, Kathy Zaidle; son, Zachary Zaidle and wife, Shannon; daughters: Stephanie Marie Zaidle and fiancé Michael and Cheryl Armstrong and husband, Brent; seven grandchildren: Johnathon, Tyler, Katie, Emma, Zoey, Storm-ee and Joseph; his father, Leon Zaidle; one brother, Danny Lee Zaidle and two sisters: Murvie McGuire and Carylon Greene.
He is preceded in death by his mother Mary Sue Zaidle.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2015 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. Visitation will also be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 23, 2015, in the Rodgers Baptist Church, 801 W. Buckingham Road, Garland, Texas.
A Celebration of his life will take place on Monday, November 23, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the Rodgers Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery of Ennis at 3 p.m. under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
