Hazel Louise “Polly” Rankin was born on March 17, 1930 to Marshall and Josephine Berthune Rankin. Polly grew up in Rankin and attended school in Rankin and Ennis. She left this world for a better place in Heaven on January 4, 2013. As a young child, Polly attended the Rankin Baptist Church and became member at a young age. Polly worked for Ennis Business Forms for many years and also served as a caregiver for a period of time. Polly is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Lance Watson of Byrd, Texas; grandchildren: Jeremy Knight and wife, Cathryn, Meagan Knight Burkhart and husband, Haustin, Elizabeth Watson and Colten Watson; two brothers: Joe and Johnny Rankin, one sister, Jerry Rankin Griesenbeck and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Josephine Rankin, two brothers, Fred and Bill Rankin and one sister, Frances Hoyle. Polly lived life to the fullest and dearly loved her daughter, Debbie, her son-in-aw, Lance and loved and was so proud of her grandchildren. Polly will be missed by her family and friends. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2013 in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rev. Grady Cashion officiating.
