Sallie Nan Hutton

Sallie Nan Hutton, 71, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2015.
Sallie was born on March 23, 1943, to J.D. and Sarah Ione (Keener) Gray in Ennis, Texas. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1961. She went on to attend Navarro College where she received her associates degree. On April 14, 1965, she married William J. Vavra and later married John E. Hutton on June 18, 1997.
She worked for the Ennis ISD in various Administrative positions and for Marlin Elementary School also as secretary. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles and playing the piano. She loved being with her family.
She is survived by a son, Daniel Joseph Vavra and wife, Krissy; daughter, Christina Vavra Carson and husband, David; two grandsons: Justin and Jason; one great-grandson, William; three brothers: Jefferson D. Gray, Jr. and wife, Kathy, Jerry E. Gray and wife, Judy and Samuel R. Gray and wife, Helen and one sister, Linda M. Gray, and numerous nieces, nephews, and step children.
She is preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and three brothers; William C. Gray, Charles T. Gray and Robert L. Gray.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, March 24, at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rev. David Hutton.
