Louise Jurik, 98, passed away in Ennis, Texas, on March 18, 2015.
Louise was born on Nov. 21, 1916, to Peter P. and Anna Mildred (Juroska) Fridel in Lovelady, Texas. She grew up in Lovelady and attended school in Telico, Texas. On Nov. 28, 1934, she married Emil W. Jurik and they made their home in Ennis.
Louise worked in the St. John Catholic School cafeteria for many years bestowing her talent with food to the children she served. She was a member of the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church and KJZT #16. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing. Her family was her greatest joy.
She is survived by daughters: Ann Marek and husband, John, Sr., Unett Svrcek and husband, Cy and Karon Beebe; six grandchildren: eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Emil Jurik on April 4, 1997, three brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 20, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis with Rosary at 6 p.m. Mass of the Christian burial will be on Saturday, March 21, at 10 a.m. in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church with Father John Dick as celebrant. Pallbearers will be Jean Beebe, Kevin Marek, John Marek, Jr., Ed Mikuda, Matt Mikuda and Jon David Marek. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery of Ennis under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
