Pat Land, 71, passed away in Ennis, Texas, on Saturday, March 14, 2015.
Pat was born in Durant, Okla., on February 8, 1944, to Marshall and Mary (Manning) Ellis. She grew up in Oklahoma and Lubbock, Texas. She attended Lubbock High School. On May 26, 1993, she married James W. Land and they made their home in Palmer.
She worked for Wal Mart over eight years in Accounting. She was a member of the Baptist Church. She enjoyed knitting, crochet, and painting.
She is survived by her husband, James W. Land; sons: Jerry Brumfield, Leslie Brumfield and wife, Torey, Charley Brown and wife, Michelle and Danny Land and wife, Raquel; daughters: Carla Brown and Roxanne Spence; thirteen grandchildren: five great-grandchildren: brothers: Vernon Ellis, Charley Ellis and Gary Ellis and sisters: Allie North, Betty Johnson and Jessie Wright.
She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 17, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Palmer. A Celebration of her life took place on Wednesday, March 18, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Ray Rainey officiating in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Palmer Chapel. Pallbearers were David Land, Jerry Land, Zachary Kuhn, Scott Bird, Lanny Houchin, Clint Cooper and Perry Graff. Interment followed in Palmer Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
