Billie Ann Baldwin

Billie Ann Baldwin, long-time Ennis resident, died March 12, 2015, in Waxahachie, Texas. She was 82.

Services will be held at J.E. Keever Mortuary, in Ennis, at 11:00 a.m. Monday.
Visitation will be 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday.

“Ann” Baldwin was born to William L. & Linnie Mae (Turley) Clinton in Commerce, Texas, on Feb. 3, 1933. Billie Ann was raised in Commerce but did not consider herself a country girl. Rather a girl raised on concrete and decided to stay on it if possible. While a youngster she walked everywhere she went due to humble beginnings. She said when she got her driving license she was through walking. She was a 1951 graduate of Commerce High School.

On Aug. 4, 1951, she married her husband, Billy Ray Baldwin, and was married 52 years. She enjoyed gospel, country and bluegrass music, brick by brick puzzles, soap operas, Texas Ranger baseball, and was a member of the Southern Pacific Sunbeam Club and Tabernacle Baptist Church in Ennis. She was a fine seamstress and worked for Storey Manufacturing from 1970 to 1980.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donnie L.Clinton; sister, Doris Jewell Marshall; and her husband, Billy Ray on April 24, 2004.

She is survived by brother, Bobby Clinton of DeKalb; and by two daughters, Debra Cooke and Ronnie Childress of Eureka, and Donna Boggan and huband Dusty, of Ennis; four grandchildren: Bryan Lotspeich, Alan Lotspeich and wife Kali, Craig Boggan and wife Taffy, and Mary Boggan; 3 great-grand children, Benjamin Lotspeich, Ralin Williams, and Landry Boggan. Numerous in-Laws, nieces, nephews,and friends. She was a fine, loving, person who will be missed.
