Dennis F. Miller, 87, passed away in Dallas, Texas, on Monday, Jan. 19, 2015.
Dennis was born in Blossom, Texas, on Feb. 10, 1927, to Richard and Ida (Lane) Miller. He grew up in Blossom and graduated from Blossom High School. In 1953 he married Billie Gay Hillger and they made their home in Garland before moving to Ennis. He served his country proudly in the United States Army, serving in Germany.
He worked for Armstrong Cork and John Manville Company. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Ennis. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Billie Gay Miller, and brother-in-law, Jack Hillger and his wife, Irene. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Billy Ray Miller, and one sister, Nita Mosher.
Visitation will be on Thursday, Jan. 22, at 1 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of his life will take place at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rev. Kenny Cashion officiating. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
