Kitty Spurgeon, age 82, passed away on November 28, 2014 in Dallas. She was born in Navarro, Texas on March 5, 1932 to Walker and Agnes (Rogers) Threet.
She is survived by daughter-in-law, Donna Spurgeon; children, Larry Spurgeon and his wife Peggy, Toni Butler and her husband Jerry and Steven Spurgeon; grandchildren, Todd and Jeremy Butler, Nicholas and Tyler Spurgeon, Robyn Spurgeon and Paxton Spurgeon; great grandchild, Addison Butler; special sisters, Bewetta Gazaway, Marquita Minick, Patsy Knott, Nancy Northern, Sue Heaton and Linda Holley.
Kitty is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rex Spurgeon, Sr.; son, Rex Spurgeon, Jr.; brothers, Billy Earl Threet and Caleb Threet.
The family will received friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Monday, December 1, 2014 at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Ennis.
The funeral service was held at 2 P.M. on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Ennis with interment following at Rice Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Butler, Nicholas Spurgeon, Tyler Spurgeon, Danny Newland, Charles Knott, and James Shackleford. Honorary Pallbearer will be Todd Butler.
