Curtis Leroy Tibodeau

2749787Curtis LeRoy Tibodeau was born May 24, 1965 in Rice Lake, Wisconin to Connie Speiser Tibodeau and LeRoy Isadore Tibodeau. Curtis and the family moved to Richardson, Texas in 1971 where Curt went on to graduate from J.J. Pierce High School (1983). Curt earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from North Texas University (1989) and a Master’s Degree in Hospital Administration from Texas State University (1999). Curt worked for many years for CompUSA. Once he received his Master’s Degree, he moved into various hospital administration roles in Austin and then Dallas. In 2001, Curtis returned to Ennis to live on the family ranch. While back in the Dallas area, Curt was very proud to be a tenor singer for the Turtle Creek Chorale and Cathedral of Hope Church Choir as well as a volunteer for The Resource Center. Curtis lost his long fought battle against trauma to his brain on October 16, 2014 at the age of 49.

Curt is survived by his mother (Constance Ann Tibodeau of Ennis); his brother (Dale LeRoy Tibodeau) and sister-in-law (Laura Ellis Tibodeau) of Conroe; his aunt (Judith Andrew of Plymouth, Minnesota); as well as two nephews and one niece also in Minnesota. Curtis was preceded in death by father, LeRoy Isadore Tibodeau, who passed away in 2002 and grandparents (Julie & Marcellus Tibodeau of Windom, Minnesota and Wally & Jean Speiser of St. Paul, Minnesota).

Visitation services will be Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 6-8 PM at J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc. in Ennis, Texas, with rosary to be said at 7 PM. The funeral will be held Thursday, October 23rd, 2014 at 10 AM at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis, followed by graveside service and interment in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery of Ennis, Tx under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc. Following interment there will be a luncheon/reception at the family ranch.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to cancer research or to the Ellis County SPCA.
