Terry Christian Zhanel, 57, passed away in Fort Worth, Texas on Tuesday, September 2, 2014.
Terry was born in Ennis, Texas on February 16, 1957 to Norman Lewis and Patsy (VanDeVeer) Christian. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ferris High School in 1975. On April 15, 1983 she married David J. Zhanel, Sr. and they made their home in Ennis.
Terry worked for Pepsico Corp for over twenty-five years as an Executive Assistant and had a passion for cooking for her family and loved ones. She was a member of the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis.
She is survived by her sons: Christopher Lewis Christian of Harrison, NJ and David J. Zhanel, Jr. and wife, Chanel of Arlington, TX; granddaughter, Ella Grace Zhanel; brother, Norman (Topper) Christian of Palmer; sister, Pamela Cootes and husband, Billy of Ennis; numerous nieces and nephews and her faithful friends Pretty Girl and Chloe.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband David J. Zhanel, Sr. on May 14, 2003.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis. Mass of the Christian Burial will take place on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis with Father John Dick as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery of Ennis under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
