LaVerne F. Skrivanek, 77, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Wednesday, June 25, 2014.

LaVerne was born in Malone, Texas on July 15, 1936 to Paul John and Olga Sofe (Muesse) Manske. She grew up in Malone, Texas and graduated from Bynum High School in 1954. She moved to Ennis in 1954.

She worked for Ennis Business Forms for over forty-three years retiring in 1998; she also was an Avon Representative for over twenty years. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church of Ennis. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was very involved in her church and loved her cats dearly. She enjoyed working in her yard and gardening.

She is survived by sons: Glenn Skrivanek and wife, Tracey and Bob Skrivanek and wife, Julie; four grandchildren: Caleb, Cameron, Tyler and Whitney; one brother, Alan Manske; nieces and nephew: Susan Norwood, Janet Cleary and Mike Manske and long time special friend Gary Vitovsky.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister-in-law, Shirley Manske and nephew Charlie Cleary.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2014 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of her life will take place on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis. Interment will follow in Crisp Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
