Louise Gerron, 95, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Thursday, May 22, 2014.
Louise was born in Chico, Texas on February 2, 1919 to Ben and Vera Booth. She grew up in Chico and graduated from Chico High School in 1937. She went on to attend Secretarial School in Fort Worth, Texas. On July 29, 1939 she married Jessie F. Gerron and they made their home in Bridgeport, Texas, then to Archer City and finally to Ennis.
She worked for the Archer City ISD as an administrative assistant for many years. She was a member of Baylor Baptist Church of Ennis. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother and spending time with her grandson. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and doing outdoor activities.
She is survived by her son, Les Gerron and his wife, Vicky of Ennis and one grandson, Kyle Gerron of Washington, DC.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jess on January 30, 2002, one son, Michael Gerron in 1952 and one sister, Jewel Faith.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 26, 2014 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of her life will take place on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with interment to follow in Elm Branch Cemetery of Bardwell under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
