Louisa (Mom) De Los Santos, age 71 of Ennis, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2014. She was born in Scurry, Texas, on November 16, 1942 to Maclobio and Julia (Roblez) Carrillo. Louisa married Domingo De Los Santos on July 6, 1962 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. She was a lifetime member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church and graduated from Ennis High School. Louisa taught Sunday school at St. John’s; was a Girl Scout Leader for 23 years, worked as a teacher’s aide; was Vice President of the Ennis Art Club, and was on the board of the Hispanic Community. She was a very social person and a believer in community activity. The family will miss their “Lion King”. Survivors include her husband, Domingo De Los Santos; children, Domingo, Jr. and his wife Tracy of Coppell, Sylvia De Los Santos of Ennis, Cynthia Quintero and her husband Henry of Ennis, Yolanda Hambrick and Charles of Ennis, and Jerald De Los Santos and his wife LeAnne of Rice; sixteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sister, Maura Messa and her husband Julian; brother, Mike Carrillo and his wife Lois; several aunts and uncles; special nephew, Joe (Jodi) Paul Carrillo, and niece, Rachel Rios. She was preceded in death by her parents, Julia and Maclobio Carrillo; brothers, Abelino Carrillo and Paul Carrillo; and great grandsons, Jeremiah Cooper and Angel Armendariz, son-in-law, Gary Wayne Hambrick. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 6 to 8 P.M. with a Rosary at 7 P.M at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home Chapel in Ennis. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 A.M. on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Ennis with Father John Dick as Celebrant and Jamie DeLosSantos, Matthew DeLosSantos, Joshua DeLosSantos, Chris DeLosSantos, Tommy Bernal, and O.Z. Wade, Jr. serving as pallbearers. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society or Helping Hands of Ennis.
