Herbert E. Lynn, age 77, passed away on December 7, 2013, at his home in Houston, Texas. He was born in Chapel Hill, Texas on June 19, 1936 to Everette and Bessie (Sturdivant) Lynn. He married Katherine Dodson on November 24, 1971 in Bellville, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Katherine; five sons, Walter Lynn and his wife Cindy of Pearland, TX., Brent and Michael Allen Lynn of Houston, TX., James Harvey Goodman and his wife Robin of Chatfield, TX., Kevin Gregory Goodman and his wife Stacey of Ennis, TX.; daughter, Cindy Lynn and her husband Patrick Weenig ; eleven grandchildren, Christopher, Tessa, Sarah, Emily, Alyssa, Makenzie, Devin and wife Brandy, Brian and wife Stephanie, Christopher, Joshua, and Rafe; great grandchildren, Destiny, Bailee, Merideth, Haley; sister, Sammie; brother, Joe; and numerous nieces and nephews. Herbert was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jackie Lynn and Judy Rainey. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel in Ennis, TX. Funeral service is scheduled for 2 P.M. on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel in Ennis with Pastor Chet Hensley officiating.
