Mark Clifton Cryer, Sr. was born on January 16, 1964 in Waxahachie, Texas and went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, April 4, 2013. Mark was a wonderful son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and a good friend to many. Mark had many accomplishments that he was proud of and that we were proud of as well. Mark moved with his family to Fresno, California and at 14 years old he went to work for an Electrician sweeping floors. He enjoyed being around the electrical field so much that he successfully completed the process of gaining his Electrician’s License. Upon returning to Ennis he went to work at MedCo Electrical. Mark also worked for Estes Electric for 14 years, leaving the company due to a disability. Mark enjoyed his classic rock music, being with his family and reminiscing of past events, friends and things that made him happy. Mark has suffered over the past few months but is free of the pain now. Mark is survived by his Mother, Judy Gothard Turney; Children, Mark Clifton Cryer, Jr. of Waxachachie.; Tiffany Lynn Cryer and Christopher William Cryer both of Corsicana; Kendall Blake Patterson Cryer of Sante Fe, Texas. Mark also has four grandchildren, Skyler, Adam, Michelle and Kaliegh. Mark is also survived by his brother Darren Cryer and his wife Jennifer and a nephew Caleb; two sisters, Susan Cryer Elkins and Tracy Cryer Langley; aunts Dorothy Markham and husband Harold; Carolyn Chapman; Trixie McManus; uncles, Royce Gothard and his wife Sharmin; Jerry Gothard and his wife Martha as well as many cousins and his life long friend Evelyn Jacobson. Mark was proceeded in death by Richard William Turney and Tommy Lynn Cryer. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Boze-Mitchell-Mckibbin Funeral Home in Ennis. The funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. on Monday, April 8, 2013 at Boze-Mitchell-Mckibbin Chapel with Reverend Gary Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Palmer Cemetery at Palmer, Texas.
