Rev. James Don Clark, 72, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013 in Ennis, Texas. Don was born in Ben Wheeler, Texas on February 15, 1941 to Truman James and Mary Mada (Rollins) Clark. He grew up in Ben Wheeler and Dallas and graduated from Adamson High School in 1959. He married Joann Bigham on June 10, 1960 and they made their home in Dallas, then Duncanville for seventeen years, then to Palmer in 1980 and finally to Ennis in 1990. He worked as Pastor of the True life Church for eight years, Heritage Christian Center and the Ennis Christian Academy and was the Founder and Pastor of the Abundant Life Church for twenty years. He enjoyed watching sports especially football. He is survived by his wife, Elisabeth J. Clark of Ennis; sons: Clifton Clark and Yvette Clark of Red Oak and Jeremy Scott Clark and Amy of Granbury; daughter, Melanie Suzanne Woodard of Ennis; eight grandchildren: his mother, Mada Clark of Weatherford; brother, Bob Clark of Caldwell, Idaho; two sisters: Barbara Stagner of Weatherford and Sherry Tapley of Frisco along with a host of family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, James Truman Clark and daughter, Lisa Rena Clark in 1965. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of his life will take place on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Abundant Life Church located at 5400 S I-45, Ennis, Texas, Exit 246 Alma with Rev. Gary Johnson, Rev. Michael Bedard and Rev. Bob Clark. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc. www.jekeevermortuary.com
