Edwards of Ennis. Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home of Seagoville. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 at Pointview Baptist Church in Combine, Texas with lunch at 11 a.m. then service at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Myrtle Cemtery in Ennis.

 Emily Kovar Dlabaj, 101, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2012 at the IOOF Nursing Home of Ennis. Emily was born in Ennis, Texas to John and Francis (Jakubik) Kovar on June 16, 1911. She grew up in Ennis and attended the Lone Oak Schools. On November 29, 1932 she married John F. Dlabaj and they made their home in Crisp, then to Dallas in 1936 and back to Ennis in 1976. She was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening. She is survived by three daughters; Geraldine Adams and her husband, Bill of Ennis, Else Maliska and her husband, Louis of Ennis and Betty Heine of Irving; one daughter-in-law Bobbie Dlabaj of Ennis: eleven grandchildren: eighteen great-grandchildren: thirteen great-great-grandchildren and two sisters: Mildred Trlica of Alma and Mary Adams of North Richland Hills. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband John F. Dlabaj on December 12, 1978, one son Johnny Dlabaj, one grandson Jon Dean Dlabaj and two brothers. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Jean Jeter, 80, passed away in DeSoto, Texas on Monday, November 5. 2012. Jean was born and raised in N. Roby, Texas. She worked as a part-time bartender at the American Legion of Ennis and was a Gold Star Sister of the American Legion Auxiliary, Ennis, Texas. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She loved being with and around people. She enjoyed molding, painting and firing ceramics. Her favorite holidays were the Fourth of July and Christmas. She is survived by sons: Robert Williams and his wife, Amy, Clay Schwab and Dale Schwab all of Ennis; daughters, Katherine Wright of Midlothian and Debbie and Angie Schwab;grandchildren: Robert and Cindy Wright, Kristen, Matthew and Bryce Williams, Brittany and Brandon Crawford, Micha Light and Bryan VanSickle;great-grandchildren: Jeffrey and Taylor Wright Mckay, Avery, Archer, Quinn VanSickle and Ryan and Regan Light; one sister, Dece Bevill: her longtime companion Alfonse “Poncho” Schwab and one goddaughter, Andrea Darnell Henning. George Alvis Robinson, Jr., 79, passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. He was born December 31, 1932 to George Alvis Robinson and Opal Mahone Robinson in Corsicana, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert “Bob” Robinson and granddaughter, Rachel Lynea Slovak. George is survived by his wife, Wanda Lois; son and wife, Randy and June Robinson, and daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Gregory Slovak and Teresa and David Cox. He is also survived by grandchildren; Jeremy Robinson and wife, Valerie, Erica Robinson, Meagan Gould and husband, Jason, Morgan Hickerson and husband, Corey, Adam Fuller, Aaron Fuller, Daron Fuller, Jason Cox, Natalie Cox, Ashley Cox, John Cox, and Joel Cox.: and great- grandchildren, Jaxon Gould, Reagan Gould, Aaron Fuller, Makayleh Fuller, Cade Cox and Chloe Cox. He is survived by his brother, Dr. James Robinson and wife, Mary; and sisters, Peggy Chandler, and Shirley Jordan and husband, Billy. George was a family man and most happy when his family was all together. He is best described as a loving, kind, tender-hearted, proud and quiet man. He had a certain twinkle in his eyes that would make you smile. He loved having coffee with the “guys” at the Senior Center or as George liked to call it “The Re-cycled Teenager Center”. He loved playing Forty-two with friends. He enjoyed raising cattle and working on the farm while riding his tractor. He was a fisherman and would travel all over the United States in his fifth wheel with his wife, Wanda. George loved the outdoors and seeing all of God’s creations. He was an active member of First Baptist Church in Blooming Grove. He served his country in the U.S. Army and continued to serve his community as a Highway Patrolman for the better part of his life. George never met a stranger. Visitation with the family is scheduled for Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 5:00 -7:00PM at Corley Funeral Home in Corsicana. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 10:00AM at First Baptist Church in Blooming Grove, Texas with Bro. Grady Cashion officiating. Freddie Ruth Cox, 90, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Wednesday, November 21, 2012. Freddie was born in Palmer, Texas on January 30, 1922 to Fred and Ruby Ellen (Birkhead) Hamilton. She grew up in Palmer and graduated from Palmer High School. She married Emmett Homer Cox and they made their home in Palmer. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Palmer and played the organ there for many years. She enjoyed gardening and playing the piano and organ. She is survived by one son, Steve Cox and his wife, Lawana of Lakeway, Texas; daughters: Judy Land and her husband Donald of Palmer and JoAnn Tolbolka and her husband, Henry of Dallas; seven grandchildren: Dr. Joshua Cox, Tyler Cox, Spencer Cox, Donna marie Pierson, David Ray Land, Rhonda Land and Jerry Land; ten great-grandchildren: seven great-great-grandchildren: one brother, Robert Hamilton of Dallas and two sisters: Hazel Eskridge of Arlington and Emma Lynn Runnels and her husband, Norman of Hot Springs, AR. Evelyn Julie Dlabaj, 79, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2012. Evelyn was born in Kaufman on July 17, 1933 to Frank J. and Louise Vrzalik Vlacilek. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from Saint John’s High School in 1952. Soon after graduation she married the love of her life, Raymond S. Dlabaj and they celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary this past June. Evelyn worked with her husband as a secretary for Advance Plumbing Service for 51 years. In Evelyn’s early days she managed the Queen’s Contest at Holy Cross Catholic Church and served as President of K.J.Z.T Dallas Society #108. After moving back to Ennis she transferred to K.J.Z.T. Society #16. Evelyn was also a proud member of the Catholic Daughters of America and served as Regent for a period of time. Evelyn is survived by her husband Raymond, brother Frank Vlacilek, Jr. and spouse Marianne of Anaheim, California, daughter Sandy Adamcik & husband Bobby, daughter Diane Lucien & husband Alan, grandchildren Alan Lucien, Jr, Jennifer Adamcik, Lindsay Waugaman, Angela Marek and spouses. Tony was born in Ennis, Texas to Anton J. and Pauline (Salik) Pavlicek, Jr. He grew up in Ennis and graduated from St. John High School. He served with the National Guard for several years, He worked for Ennis Business Forms until 1989 when he retired at 44. He was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church where he served as an usher for several years, KJT, SPJST and the Knights of Columbus. He was an accomplished accordionist. He enjoyed the outdoors and outdoor sports. He is survived by numerous aunts, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents and his parents. Grandson of Leah Cuccia Amato (Sam), Donald and Ann Cupit, the late Tony Cuccia. Brother of Jill Helm (Matt), Michael Cuccia (Krystin) and Anthony Cuccia. Also survived by two nieces, Olivia and Sophia Helm, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was a 2007 graduate of Slidell High School, was employed by Cache Valley Electrical and was a member of the IBEW Local #130. He loved fishing, working out at Slidell Athletic Club and doing things with his family. He will never be forgotten by his family and friends.
