Brenda Lassetter, 75, passed away in Mineola, Texas, on Tuesday, April 5, 2016.
Brenda was born in Paris, Texas, on February 14, 1941, to Steve and Belle (Christian) Ottmo. She grew up in
Palmer and Paris. In 1957, she married C.W. Lassetter.
She worked for Crawford and Company for over 15 years as an office manager and as a manager of a restaurant in
East Texas. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and gardening. Baseball was a favorite pastime of hers.
She is survived by sons: Larry Lassetter, Darrel Lassetter and wife Linda, and Scott Lassetter and wife Brandy; one
daughter, Vickie Lassetter; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Loyd Ottmo.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband C.W. Lassetter, one daughter, Karen Houge, one sister
Marvis Haynes, and two brothers, Ottie Ottmo and Truman Ottmo.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of
Palmer.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016, at 1 p.m. in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E.
Keever Mortuary, Inc.
