Jacquelyn Patterson, age 89, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 4, 2016, at the Ennis Regional Hospital. She was born on April 12, 1926, in Bailey County, Texas, to Byron and Dona Waller. She moved with her parents to Plainview, Texas, where she graduated High School in 1943, and married R.K. Patterson in 1946. She was employed by Ennis Business Forms in Ennis, Texas, for 23 years. After retiring in 1990, she did volunteer work at Helping Hands Golden Circle and her church.
Left to cherish her memories are her two daughters, Oniece Blair, her husband Herb Blair of Carollton, Texas, and Jan Taylor of Tyler, Texas; three sons, David Patterson of Ennis, Texas, James Patterson and wife Barbara of Ennis, Texas, Thomas Patterson and wife Faith of Ennis, Texas. She is also survived by one sister in law, Patsy Waller of Stafford, Texas, 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Pallbearers will be Brian Patterson, Jason Patterson, Luke Wellborn, Ken (Wayne) Patterson, John Patterson, Jason Blair and Robert Dlabaj.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2016, at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Ennis.
Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Home Chapel in Ennis. Interment will follow at Telico Cemetery in Telico.
