Michael Lynn Duckett, age 60, of Ennis, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015, at Baylor Scott & White in Waxahachie. He was born March 7, 1955, in Electra, Texas, to Leon and Maxine (Cook) Duckett. He was a journeyman plumber for 40 years opening Leon Duckett & Sons Plumbing in 1989. Michael was an avid fisherman, very devoted son and father and the founder of Duckett Farms.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Reed-Duckett of Ennis; children, Christopher Lynn Duckett, Michael Blake Duckett and Matthew Sewell; granddaughter, Taylor Ann Duckett; brothers, Randy Duckett and wife Beverly and Bruce Duckett; nephews, Michael “Mickey” Duckett, James Duckett, Ronnie Duckett and niece, Sarah Duckett. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Maxine Duckett.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2015, at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
Graveside service and interment will be 10 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2015, at the Elm Branch Cemetery in Bardwell with Brother Grady Cashion officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please donate plumbing tools to be donated to an apprentice of the Texas State Board of Plumbing.
