Pauline Zalkovsky, 92, passed away in Tyler, Texas, on Saturday, October 3, 2015.
Pauline was born on January 1, 1923, to John and Carrie (Holy) Jaresh in Ennis, Texas. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1940. On January 7, 1942, she married Louis A. Zalkovsky. They made their home in Dallas until retirement when they moved to Waxahachie. In 2004, she moved to Tyler, Texas.
She worked for Eastman Kodak as a customer service representative until her retirement in 1973. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waxahachie. She was also a member of KJZT.
She is survived by her son, William L. “Bill” Zalkovsky and wife, Jan of Waxahachie; daughters, Marilyn Walker and husband William “Billy” of Tyler, Kathy Pettipas and husband Art of McKinney; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Gerry Holubar, Carolyn Hejny and Lorrine Beere.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband for over fifty-eight years, Louis A. Zalkovsky.
Rosary will be recited at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at 11:30 a.m. in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Father Henry Drozd will officiate under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
