Manuel Martinez, Sr., 57, passed away in Mansfield, Texas, on Thursday, October 1, 2015.
Manuel was born in Ennis, Texas, on June 22, 1958, to Narciso and Carlota (Montes) Martinez. He grew up in Dallas and attended school in Dallas. On April 13, 1979, he married Carol Sanchez and they made their home in Duncanville until 2011 when they moved to Palmer.
He worked as a lab technician and was a photographer. He enjoyed playing the guitar and spending time with his family.
He will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him and his memory will be cherished most by his family including his wife, Carol Martinez; sons: Manuel Martinez, Jr. and Christopher Martinez and wife, Cindi; daughters: Victoria Cortez and husband, Benjamin and Alicia Martinez; three grandchildren: Lilliana, Alexandra and Isabella; brothers: Louis Martinez, Robert Martinez, Franciso Martinez and Lupe Martinez; and sisters: Pauline Martinez, Rosemarie Pena and Andrea Martinez.
He is preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.
Funeral Liturgy outside Mass will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis. Interment will follow in Palmer Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
