Maye Annette Franklin, age 66, passed away on August 27, 2015, at home after struggling with lupus for several years.
Annette, the daughter of Roy and Ada Mills, was born on November 19, 1948, in Bexar County, Texas. Her father was in the U. S. Air Force, and they lived in many locations including Seguin, TX; Wiesbaden, Germany; Alamogordo, NM; and Waco, TX. In 1965, her family moved to Ennis, TX. Annette graduated from Ennis High School in 1967.
In 1969, onSeptember 20, Annette married the love of her life Thomas Franklin at Walter Rider United Methodist Church in Ennis, Texas. They made a home in Ennis where they raised their two sons.
Annette enjoyed crochet, crafts, reading, spending time at the ocean, but most of all, spending time with her family and friends. She worked cleaning houses, as a hospice aide, a teacher’s aide at Ennis H.S. and a private care giver. Most recently she worked at the Golden Circle Activity Center.
She is preceded in death by her father Roy Lee Mills in 1998 and her mother Ada Mills in 2013.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Franklin; son Robert Franklin and wife Allison; son Randal Franklin and wife Cassie; brother Roy Lee Mills and wife Karen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial service held at the Golden Circle Activity Center in Ennis, Texas, on September 20, 3-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Golden Circle Activity Center.
