Nicholas F. Patti (Nick), 87, of Ennis, Texas, died on Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at the Brookdale Memory Care Facility in Waxahachie, Texas. He was born August 23, 1927, in Easton, Pennsylvania, the son of Salvatore (Sam) Patti and Margaret Patti.
On May 11, 1954, he was united in marriage to Thelma G. (Gayla) Reed in New York City. In 1955, they moved to Casablanca, Morocco, where Nicholas was employed by the Atlas Construction Company at the U.S. Air Force Base at Nouasseur. Nick spent most of his adult life working major construction projects around the world. Nick and Gayla had adventurous spirits and enjoyed living in many interesting countries and making new friends. They lived in Morocco, Spain, The Philippines, Thailand, Iran, Puerto Rico and many places within the United States. They settled in Ennis, Texas, in 2008 to be near their daughter, Gina Wear.
He is survived by his three children, Steven Patti of The Woodlands, Texas; Lisa Pleski of Maui, Hawaii; and Gina Wear of Rice, Texas; six grandchildren, Michael Kittle, Amanda Kittle, Jason Wear, Kevin Wear, Rebekah Patti and Nicholas Patti; seven great-grandchildren; and his sister Marge Pacenti.
He was preceded in death by his wife Gayla Patti in 2014; his father, Salvatore (Sam) Patti; his mother Margaret Patti; and his siblings, Jennie Corkins, Jean Harris, and Tony Patti.
Arrangements for a Memorial Service in celebration of his life are being made. Details will be provided to family and friends as soon as they are available.
