Crecy Elizabeth Alford, 102, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, July 27, 2015 from Ennis, Texas, surrounded by her family.
Crecy was born in Bristol, Texas, on May 10, 1913, to James Welcome and Beatrice (Fletcher) Jackson. She grew up in Bristol and attended school there. On January 25, 1935, she married Aubrey L. Alford and they made their home in Palmer and Ennis.
She provided love and care for children for more than fifty years in her home. She was a member of the Church of God and a past member of the Rebecca’s. She loved to sing, garden and shop. She enjoyed playing dominos.
Crecy was a blessing to all who had the pleasure of being around her. Her memory will be cherished most by her loving family including son, Donald Alford and wife Bonita; daughter, Judy Cryer and husband, James; four grandchildren: Daryl Spence, Tish Bouska, Jeff Alford and Jason Alford; seven great-grandchildren: RaeAnne Jones, Zachary Alford, Justin Spence, Aubrey Alford, Jacob Alford, Edward Spence and Heidi Alford; two great-great-grandchildren; Ayden and Lorelei Jones; one brother, Bill Jackson and a host of other family and friends.
She is preceded home to Heaven by her parents, her husband; two children, Wanda Alford and Terry Lee Alford; four brothers; and one sister.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 31, 2015, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.
A Celebration of her life will be on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel in Ennis with Rev. Ed Lipsey officiating. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
