Doris Strunc, 69, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015, in Ennis, Texas.
Doris was born in Ennis, Texas, on December 24, 1945, to Emil J. and Annie (Nekuza) Salik. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from St. John High School in 1964. On April 5, 1975, she married Murray Strunc and they made their home originally in Houston before moving back to Ennis in 1985.
She worked for Rauscher-Pierce for over thirteen years as a financial clerk and for Dr. Gossett for over seventeen years as a dental assistant and office clerk. She was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church and KJZT. She enjoyed spending time outside gardening. Her greatest pleasure was her family.
Doris will be remembered by all who had the opportunity of knowing her but her memory will be cherished most by her family including her husband of over forty years, Murray Strunc; son, Ky Strunc and wife, Grace; brothers: Bobby Salik and wife, Robby, Jimmy Salik and Mike Salik; sister, Irene Jurica and husband, Robert; brother-in-law, Harry Strunc and wife, Cindy along with numerous other close family members. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Marvin James Salik.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25, at 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. Rosary will follow visitation at 10 a.m. also in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with a Celebration of her life to begin at the end of the Rosary with Rev. Steve Holston officiating.
