Eloise Dodson, 89, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015 in Ennis, Texas.
Eloise was born in Clarksville, Texas on August 17, 1925 to D.C. and Eura (Haney) Parker. She grew up in Clarksville and attended school there. On March 7, 1943 she married Andrew Jackson Dodson and they made their home in Telico.
She helped her husband on the farm in the Telico Area where they raised their family. She was a member of the Telico Baptist Church and the Rebecca Lodge of Ennis. She enjoyed gardening, ceramics, cooking and reading. Her greatest joy was her family.
She will be remembered by all who knew her especially her family including her son, Bill Dodson and wife, Nancy; grandchildren: Suzanne Dodson Haskovec, David Dodson and wife Robin, Paul Dodson and wife Christina and Courtney Barton; seven great-grandchildren: Kayla Haskovec Moody, Kristen Haskovec, Kyle Haskovec, Heather Dodson Sills, Jennifer Dodson, Ryan Dodson and A.J. Dodson; two great-great grandchildren: Emery Moody and Lilly Sills and one brother, Frank Parker.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 20, 2015 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of her life will take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rev. Steve Holston officiating. Pallbearers will be David Dodson, Paul Dodson, Kyle Haskovec, Ryan Dodson, Myre-on Williams and Patrick Haskovec. Interment will follow in Telico Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
