Ella Marie Schwindt, 91, loving mother of Henry and daughter-in-law Liz Schwindt, passed away on Friday, Jan. 23, 2015.
Ella was born on Jan. 11, 1924, to Louis and Antonie (Kolar) Novak in Alma, Texas. She grew up in Alma and graduated from Alma High School. In 1956 she married Heinz Schwindt and they made their home in Whittier, Calif.; then to San Clemente, Calif.; Menifee, Calif.; and then to Ennis in 1998.
She worked for North American Rockwell during WWII, Gilfillan Brother Inc. assembling electronic harnesses, and for Potter and Brumfield. She was a member of the Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking and gardening.
She is survived by one son, Henry Schwindt and his wife, Liz; one step-grandchild, Leah Zarr; one great-grandchild, Grant Zarr; one niece, Marita Barak; and five nephews: James Novak, Ken Novak, Leonard Novak, Robert Novak and Michael Novak.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
