Jean Jeter, 80, passed away in DeSoto, Texas on Monday, November 5. 2012. Jean was born and raised in N. Roby, Texas. She worked as a part-time bartender at the American Legion of Ennis and was a Gold Star Sister of the American Legion Auxiliary, Ennis, Texas. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She loved being with and around people. She enjoyed molding, painting and firing ceramics. Her favorite holidays were the Fourth of July and Christmas. She is survived by sons: Robert Williams and his wife, Amy, Clay Schwab and Dale Schwab all of Ennis; daughters, Katherine Wright of Midlothian and Debbie and Angie Schwab;grandchildren: Robert and Cindy Wright, Kristen, Matthew and Bryce Williams, Brittany and Brandon Crawford, Micha Light and Bryan VanSickle;great-grandchildren: Jeffrey and Taylor Wright Mckay, Avery, Archer, Quinn VanSickle and Ryan and Regan Light; one sister, Dece Bevill: her longtime companion Alfonse “Poncho” Schwab and one goddaughter, Andrea Darnell Henning. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James “JJ” T. Jeter; brothers: John Albert “ALB” and Victor Vorice, Jr. “BO” Hollar; sister, Jo Lemmons and one son, Archie VanSickle. Memorial services will be held on Monday, November 19, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel with interment to follow in Myrtle Cemetery. www.jekeevermortuary.com
