Mary K. Goodman, 81, passed away in Palmer, Texas on Sunday, December 14, 2014.
Mary was born in Denison, Texas to James Avery and Dora Helen (Hale) Gann on August 23, 1933. She grew up in Sherman and attended school there. On September 23, 1949 she married Bobby Glen Hall and after their marriage ended she married James D. Goodman on December 7, 1984.
She was a checker at Mineyard Grocery Story for over fifteen years and a supervisor at LEC Electric for over seventeen years. She was a member of the living Waters Church in Grand Prairie. She enjoyed word puzzles and card games.
Mary is survived by daughters: Kay Manes of Oak Cliff, Susan Adair and husband, Ed of Palmer, Scheryl Brazier and husband, Gene of Palmer and Beverly Chappell and husband, Henry of Palmer; seven grandchildren: sixteen great-grandchildren and two sisters; Royce Lee Pickered of Sherman and Carolyn Matherly of Mabank.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, J.D. Goodman, one son, Bobby Hall, grandson, Gerald (Bubba) Clark, four brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Palmer Chapel. A Celebration of her life will take place on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 1 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Palmer with Rev. David Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Palmer Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
