J2726196ohnny F. Vrana, 83, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Monday, September 29, 2014.

Johnny was born in Oak Grove Community of Ennis, Texas on January 5, 1931 the fourth child of John M. and Mary (Salik) Vrana. He grew up in Ennis helping on the family farm and attended Central High School and St. John School. On November 10, 1952 he married Vivian Jurica and they made their home in Ennis.

He worked for Ennis Automotive for over forty years as a supervisor, after retirement he continued his passion of farming and ranching. He was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. He was a member of KJT for over seventy-five years, Knights of Columbus and SPJST. He enjoyed working on the farm and being with his family.

He is survived by his wife of over sixty-one years, Vivian Vrana; daughter, Cindy Kubena and husband, Frank; grandsons: Jonathan Kubena and Michael Kubena; brothers: Edward Vrana, Henry Vrana and Robert Vrana and two sisters: Josephine Prachyl and Frances Vinkler.

He is preceded in death by parents, one son, Randy Vrana in 1960 and one brother, Adolph Vrana.

Visitation will be on Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will take place on Friday, October 3, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis with Father John Dick as celebrant. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Kubena, Michael Kubena, Ricky Vrana, James Trojacek, Richard Hornik and Bradly Haskovec. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
