Nettie Melvina Stroud, 74, passed away in Waxahachie, Texas on Friday, August 8, 2014.Nettie was born in Oklahoma on December 5, 1939 to Mr. and Mrs. Stone. She grew up in Oklahoma and attended school there. She worked as an aide for the Ennis Nursing Home. She was a member of the Baptist Church. She enjoyed knitting and Elvis movies. She is survived by her son, Danny Stroud and his wife, Gloria of Palmer; four grandchildren: Danny Kyle, Rudy, Stacy and Dora; four great-grandchildren: one brother, Billy and five sisters; Louise, Helen, Marie, Mary and Patty. She is preceded in death by her parents.Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.
