A memorial service for Dennis Doil Emerson, 68, of Murchison, Texas, is scheduled for 2:00 pm July 9, 2014 at Eubank Funeral Chapel with Dr. Paul Fike officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.
He passed away July 2, 2014 in Murchison, TX.
Mr. Emerson was born May 16, 1946 in Jackson, TX, to Ernest Edward and Dovie Brunson Emerson.
Dennis was a Vietnam veteran and worked for the Texas Department of Transportation for 27 years before retiring in 1997. He enjoyed fishing and deer hunting and would rather sit outdoors than watch TV.
Dennis loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are Son, Dennis & Janet Emerson of Eustace, TX, Daughter, Shelli Alexander of Canton, TX, Son, Russell Emerson of Chatfield, TX, Son, Kelly Emerson of Corpus Christi, TX, 8 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, 2 Sisters, Emma & Lula Nell.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Brother, Arvil, 2 Sisters, Flo & Madge, Son, John Emerson, Grandson, Christopher Emerson, Wife, Susan Emerson, Grandson, Michael Freeman.
