Stephan Ray Clark, 61, passed away in Rockwall, Texas on Monday, June 23, 2014.
Stephan was born in San Antonio, Texas on June 12, 1953 to Clarence Burns “C.B.” and Naomi (Smith) Clark. He graduated from Radford High School, Honolulu, HI in 1971. He attended the Air Force Academy and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Communications from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. He went on to receive a Master’s degree in Environmental Management from the University of Texas, San Antonio in 1976. In December of 1989 he married Marlene Krajca. They had the opportunity to travel while raising their family in cities including Philadelphia, Beijing, Hong Kong, Taipei, Omaha and settled in Rockwall.
During his twenty year career as a Tele Communications Executive he worked for Southwestern Bell, AT&T, Lucent and then Avaya. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. He served on the Board of Director’s for Jinpan International. His strong desire to serve his country continued when he ran for the U.S. House of Representatives, District 4 seat.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene Clark of Rockwall; son, Alan Clark and, Dennis Yawitz; daughters: Cambry Huaraque and husband, Rockie of Tucson, Miranda Henson and husband, Grant of Dallas, Raychel Clark of Houston, Madeline Clark of Rockwall and Erica Clark of Rockwall; four grandchildren: Hanaa, Syd, Beau and Harry and three brothers: Randy Clark of San Antonio, Jeff Clark of Forney and Marc Clark of Rockwall.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. Mass of the Christian Burial will take place on Friday, June 27, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis with Father John Dick as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
