Jack Alson Duvall, Jr. of Waxahachie born January 23, 1944, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2014 surrounded by family.
Jack was a graduate of Midlothian High School and he retired from the Texas Highway Department. He loved to read, work in his garden and travel.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jack Duvall Sr., his mother, Lillian Odessa Duvall, father-in-law, Jodie Honza and his sister-in-law, Adell Foutch.
Survivors include his wife Carolyn Duvall, son, Jason Duvall of Waxahacie, step-daughter, Wendi Morris and husband Ben Guillaume of New Orleans, grandchildren, Savanna and Jake Duvall of Waxahachie. Extended family, mother-in-law, Louise Honza of Reagor Springs, sister-in-law, Anita White and husband John of Ovilla and Helen Betik and husband Kenneth of Waxahachie and numerous nieces and nephews. His favorite all-time neighbor, Myrtle Evans and dear family friend, Sue Mayfield. His dogs, Molly and Alley.
Jack donated his body to science, hoping that a cure for the disease that had plagued his body for so many years may be found.
A tribute to Jack’s life will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Waxahachie Civic Center – Crape Myrtle Room. Use West Entrance.
