Janet Ann Olsen Toal, 74, passed away Friday, June 13, 2014 in Round Rock, Texas.
Janet was born on July 26, 1939 in Akron, Ohio to Irvin O. and Lucile (Seeds) Olsen. When she was a very young girl the family moved to Waco, Texas. In 1963 she made the move to Waxahachie, Texas and ended up meeting her husband, Garry L. Toal in 1967 and they married the same year on October 21, 1967 in Durant, OK. They resided in Waxahachie before moving to Trumbull, Texas in 1980. After her husband’s death in 2008, Janet moved to Round Rock to be closer to her son.
She enjoyed sewing, writing, poems, crochet and painting. Her family was the joy of her life.
She is survived by son, Bradley L. Toal and wife, Carly of Round Rock; daughter, Karen Gwen Griffin and husband Charles of Waxahachie; sister, Beverly Pratt of East Poland, Maine; brother Irvin Olsen of Friendswood, Texas; three granddaughters: Crystal Griffin of Waxahachie, Leighanne Garcia and husband Michael of McKinney, TX and Kyleigh Toal of Round Rock; two grandsons: Charles Griffin, Jr. of Waxahachie and Austin Toal of Round Rock; two step-grandsons: Taylor Breedlove and Cole Breedlove of Round Rock; seven great-grandchildren: Kyle Griffin, Kassie Griffin, Karleigh Griffin, Khristopher Griffin, Elizabeth Garcia, Karen Garcia and Kylie Griffin; sister-in-law, Donnie Toal of Trumbull; three brother-in-laws: Ray Toal and wife, Kitten of Ennis, Glenn Toal and wife, Susie of Trumbull and Ricky Toal and wife Cindy of Trumbull; numerous nieces and nephews and a special cousin Jan Shepherd of O’Fallon, MO.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one great-granddaughter, Krisstine Ann Johnson II in 2003.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of her life will take place on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rev. Jerry Fulton officiating. Pallbearers will be Taylor Breedlove, Cole Breedlove, Michael Garcia, Charles Griffin, Jr. and Austin Toal. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
