Ethel Mae Priddy, 86, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Tuesday, March 04, 2014. Ethel was born in Boyce, Texas on September 9, 1927 to John and Gladys Smith. She grew up in Boyce, Texas and attended school in Ennis. On June 10, 1942 she married William Royce Priddy and they made their home in Ennis. She worked for many of the sewing companies in Ennis including, Storey Manufacturing, Royal Park Fashions and Donovan-Galvanti. She was a member of Anthony Drive Baptist Church of Ennis, Rebeca’s and the VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary. She is survived by one son, Jerry Priddy; one daughter, Geraldine “Geri” Bryant and husband, Rickey; four grandchildren: Marcy Busby, Wade Bryant, Melissa Rich and Crystal Bryant; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Clarence Smith and one sister Etta Marie logston. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Royce Priddy, son, James Royce Priddy, grandson, Christopher Bryant, granddaughter, Jennifer Bryant and one brother, Lawrence Smith. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary. A Celebration of her life will take place on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the J.E.
