Nellie Ann Perry Braddock Moore, “Mamaw”, 81 went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 after a lengthy illness at Legends Oak Healthcare in Ennis. She was born in Rice, Texas on August 1, 1932 to Richard Elmer and Nellie Ruth Perry. She lived most of her life in the Rice and Chatfield area. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed going to the lake and camping with her family. She was a great cook who loved reading and watching and feeding the birds. She was preceded in death by her parents; nephew, Michael Perry; husband, Gene Braddock and grandson Jeffrey Braddock. She is survived by her husband Don Moore; brother Jim Perry and wife Kay; niece Karla Ruth; daughters Linda Bernal and husband Ben and Debbie Hunt and companion Rick Ragan; sons Stephen Braddock and wife Jan, Ricky Braddock and wife Joni and Roger Braddock and wife Judy; her 16 grandchildren, Chrisben, Mark, Darren, Jeanne, Stacy, Kyle, Stephanie, Joel, Jamie, Sean, Shane, Rachel, Michelle, D.J., Dusty and Derek; 26 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Friday, January 17, 2014 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 10:00 am Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Rice Cemetery with Bro. Floyd Petersen officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
