Jackie Davidson was born in Corsicana, TX, on January 27, 1939, and passed from this life on Sunday, January 12, 2014 in McAllen, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Raymond Davidson and his sister, Sharon Davidson. He is survived by his beautiful wife Estelle; brother Raymond Davidson and wife Alice Fay; daughter Kim Fawks and husband Keith; sons Jackie Davidson, Jr. and James Davidson (aka Chopper); granddaughters Tia Fawks Hardaway and husband Keith: Breanna Fawks; and Alexandria Davidson; grandson Cody Fawks; and great-granddaughter Marilyn Fawks; and in addition, numerous beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and friends, and of course, his little Maltese dog, “Baby Doll.” Jackie played football for South Oak Cliff High School and, after his tour of duty with the Coast Guard, began his career with the Dallas Police Department. He retired from the DPD in 1989 when he began his second career working with various associations as floor manager of their annual shows. His last five “gigs” were with the American Academy of Opthalmology, the Consumer Electronics Show, the DFW Auto Show, the Texas Nursery & Landscape Association and the Texas Restaurant Association. A visitation will be held Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 6pm to 8pm at Corley Funeral Home, 418 N. 13th Street, Corsicana, TX. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 17, 2014 at 2pm at Corley Funeral Home Chapel with Jackie’s pastor from the island, Rev. Jim Denham officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery, 700 FM 2555 N., Corsicana. A memorial service will be held on Jackie’s birthday, January 27 at 2 pm at the Chapel by the Sea on South Padre Island.. Officers from the Dallas Police Department will serve as pallbearers. Charitable donations may be made in Jackie’s honor to Chapel by the Sea (P. O.
