Emily Kovar Dlabaj, 101, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2012 at the IOOF Nursing Home of Ennis. Emily was born in Ennis, Texas to John and Francis (Jakubik) Kovar on June 16, 1911. She grew up in Ennis and attended the Lone Oak Schools. On November 29, 1932 she married John F. Dlabaj and they made their home in Crisp, then to Dallas in 1936 and back to Ennis in 1976. She was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening. She is survived by three daughters; Geraldine Adams and her husband, Bill of Ennis, Else Maliska and her husband, Louis of Ennis and Betty Heine of Irving; one daughter-in-law Bobbie Dlabaj of Ennis: eleven grandchildren: eighteen great-grandchildren: thirteen great-great-grandchildren and two sisters: Mildred Trlica of Alma and Mary Adams of North Richland Hills. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband John F. Dlabaj on December 12, 1978, one son Johnny Dlabaj, one grandson Jon Dean Dlabaj and two brothers. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis with Father John Dick as celebrant.
