Wanda Joyce Welch, 73, left this life to begin her eternal life in Heaven from Ennis, Texas on Sunday, July 7, 2013. Wanda was born in Red Springs, Texas on December 3, 1939 to Arthur Franklin and Mary Ruth (Morgan) Baldwin. She grew up in Seymour, Texas and graduated from Seymour High School in 1958. On June 4, 1974 she married Roy Welch and they lived in Munday, Texas before moving to Ennis in 1985. Wanda worked as the church secretary for First Baptist Church of Munday for over ten years and as secretary of Baylor Baptist Church of Ennis for eight years. She also worked for McCrary Insurance Agency and Arden’s Insurance as a beloved customer service representative before retiring in 2009. She was a member of the Baylor Baptist Church of Ennis. She enjoyed sewing and cooking. She was a big fan of all sports especially the Texas Rangers, The Dallas Mavericks, The Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Stars. She is survived by two sons: Billy D. Welch of Waxahachie and Gary D. Welch of Ennis; three daughters: Melinda W. King of Ennis, Donna D. Valek of Telico and Pamela J. McNeely of Amarillo; fourteen grandchildren: four great-grandchildren; one brother, Joe Baldwin of Seymour and her beloved dog Bentley. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roy Welch on August 31, 1993, son, Lenny R. Welch on July 19, 2006 and one brother, Harold Baldwin on May 7, 2002. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. in the Riverview Cemetery of Seymour under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc. www.jekeevermortuary.com
