Helen Marie Gibson, age 87, died June 10, 2013 at Baylor Medical Center in Waxahachie. She was born November 7, 1925 in Dallas, TX to F. M. Dickerson and Beatrice Vinson Dickerson. She was a member of the Saner Avenue Church of Christ and former member of Brown Street Church of Christ. Helen was a wonderful person. She truly loved and dedicated her life to her family. The imprint she made in the lives of her children and family will remain forever. She had a quiet but powerful influence on everyone who knew her. It is the little things our hearts will always remember. Helen was a mother to love and cherish. She wa a caretaker and comforter. She was a friend and someone who believed in you. All that knew Helen were richer by far just for knowing her. She played a part in making this world a better place. Helen is survived by her two daughters, Sandra Dodson of Ennis, TX and Barbara Gibson of Blue Ridge; four grandchildren, Suzanne Haskovec, David Dodson, Connie Purpura and Paul Dodson; eight great grandchildren, Kayla Moody, Kristen Haskovec, Kyle Haskovec, Heather Dodson, Jennifer Dodson, Ryan Dodson, Michelle Cooper and Shane Cooper; one great-great grandchild, Emery Moody; two brothers, Tillman H. Dickerson of Dallas and Paul M. Dickerson of Waco. Visitation for family and friends will be 6 to 8 PM Thursday, June 13, 2013 in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1:00 P. M. Friday, June 14, 2013 in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home. Private interment for the family will be at Laurel Land Cemetery. www.bozemitchellmckibbin.com. Arrangements are under the direction of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
