Clik here to view.George Clay ”Yankee” Campbell, age 92, passed away in Ennis on May 16, 2013. He was born on April 30, 1921 to David Franklin and Eva Mae (Hughes) Campbell in Luray, Virginia. He married Rose Marie (Moore) Dodson and was a truck driver for more than 50 years, and retired from Ennis Transportation Trucking. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Marie Campbell; children, Clay and Ferne Campbell, Becky and Bruce Fox, Dolly and Malachy McMahon, Dave Campbell, Bob Campbell; step-children, Raymond and Judy Dodson, Harold Dodson, Gerald and Tammy Dodson, Robert and Dolly Dodson, Willie and Emily Dodson, Sharon and Don Sutton; grandchildren, Rod, Steve, Jenny, B.J., Denise, Logan, Serena, and Ashley; step-grandchildren, Jeff, April, Robert, Ann, Treasa, Caleb, Nate, Chris, Corey, Jenelle, Robert, Tori, Steven, Hayley, Emily, Hayden, Dana, Danica, Lexi, Kody and Kylynn. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Eva Campbell. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Ennis. Service will be held at 2 P.M., Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Chapel in Ennis, with Rev. Dick Moody officiating. Interment will follow in Telico Cemetery.
