Maria “Licha” Gutierrez

Maria “Licha” Gutierrez, 73, passed away in Dallas, Texas on Tuesday, May 7. 2013. Licha was born on April 19, 1940 to Fortino and Lena (Toscano) Gaona. She married Francisco Gutierrez in 1958. She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all she met. She enjoyed gardening. She was a proud member of the Templo de Power Church and loved her church and church family. She is survived by sons: Frank Gutierrez, Freddie Gutierrez, Rafel Gutierrez, Ramiro Gutierrez, Joe L. Gutierrez, Armando Gutierrez and Clint Gutierrez; daughters: Yolanda Gutierrez, Lupe Arriaga, Gracie Maliska, Corina Gutierrez, Sylvia Gutierrez, Susie Olivera and Lisa Gutierrez; thirty-nine grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; several great-great-great-grandchildren; two brothers: Juan Gaona and Jesus Gaona; sister, Linda Gomez and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Francisco Gutierrez, sons, Rolando Gutierrez and Joe Gutierrez along with several brothers and sisters. Visitation will be on Friday, May 10, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 8p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Pastor Lynn Godsey and Pastor Jasper Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery of Ennis under the direction of J.E.
