Mary Andrews Patterson, 82, passed away in Dallas, Texas on Thursday, April 25. 2013. Mary was born in Byrd, Texas on July 26, 1930 to Earl and Minnie (Pickering) Andrews. She grew up in Byrd and graduated from Ennis High School. In 1948 she married Fred Patterson and they made their home in Dallas, Texas. She was a member of the Western Park Baptist Church and presently the Jesus Name Church. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and dominos. The joy of her life was her family especially her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She is survived by one daughter, LuAnne Holmes and her husband, Don Holmes of Duncanville, grandchildren: Adam Holmes of Los Angeles and Allison Gaskey of McKinney along with one great-grandson Gabriel Gaskey. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers, Jack Andrews and Thomas Andrews. Visitation will be on Sunday, April 28, 2013 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of her life will take place on Monday, April 29, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rev. Jerry Batchelor officiating. Pallbearers will be Michael Sanguinet, Randy Hurt, Marcy Anderson, Michael Gaskey, Herman Cortez and Adam Holmes. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
